Dell Offers Big SSDs for Small Price

I have a Dell XPS M1330 and when I ordered my laptop you could get a small 64GB SSD for around $1000 if memory serves. Like all things tech, as time goes by prices get cheaper and that holds true for the new SSD options Dell has on two of its notebooks.

Shoppers interested in the Dell XPS M1330 or XPS M1730 can add the new Samsung 256GB SSD to the notebooks at a bargain price (for a SSD anyway). The drive in question is the new MLC Samsung 256GB SSD.

Dell will add the 245GB SSD to the notebooks for only $400, not exactly cheap until you consider that Lenovo wants about $500 for a 64GB SSD. Dell is even cheaper if you can make do with 128GB of Samsung SSD goodness with a price of only $200. Of course, you can opt for the 7200 rpm 500GB Seagate HDD for only $150. However, for another $50 I might actually get the 128GB SSD, that is plenty of notebook storage for my needs.
