Samsung puts free charge stations into colleges and universities

Back in January when I went to CES in Vegas one of the coolest things I noticed was the Samsung charging stations in the airport in Dallas. The stations let you charge your gadgets for free while you are on the go. Samsung Mobile has announced that it is putting similar charge stations into 15 different colleges and universities around the country.

The schools getting a charge station this go around include San Diego State University, The University of Colorado - Boulder, Texas Tech University, The University of Texas at Dallas, Northern Iowa University, The University of New Mexico, The University of Minnesota, Northwestern University, The University of Miami and Louisiana Tech. Samsung plans to add stations to 35 more campuses by the spring semester of 2010.

The stations have eight outlets for charging mobile devices. There is no charge and the stations will charge any device, not just Samsung phones and notebooks.
