Move over Roomba, there’s a new robo-vac in town. Asus wants a piece of this market as well. The ECleaner robot sports a 6000-hour UV light that also helps disinfect your floor and comes with a slot that can be used for spreading the smelly fragrance of your choice.

It can even be controlled using a remote control and will be battery powered. Look for the ECleaner to be available in China and Taiwan before 2010 for about $150.

The price is right so it should be able to compete with the other vacuum bots.

This is the Eee PC 1008P, the Seashell 2, which is not due to be unveiled until CES, but thanks to HardwareZone we have these images to check out in the meantime. The exterior was designed by Karim Rashid and under the hood is Intel’s Pine Trail architecture with an N450 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 160GB of storage
It now has room for a removable battery, hidden behind a cover and sliding out the side, the VGA port is provided by what looks like a mini-USB adapter in the bottom, and the other ports are behind little doors. That’s about all we know right now, but we should know more in about a month.

The Eee Top ET2002 and ET2203 now have a firm launch date of October 22nd and some prices, £559 and £819. In American dollars that’s roughly $893 and $1,312.

Windows 7 is along for the ride too, along with NVIDIA ION. We really love the design on these, but $900 seems a little steep, but we’ll see what the general public thinks soon enough.

ASUS has announced a new range of TV monitors, the T1 series. Available in 21.5-inch, 23.6-inch and 27-inch versions, the T1s offer a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 5ms response time, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 20,000:1 contrast ratio and a built-in TV tuner for both digital and analog signals.

The T1 series also features 7W speakers and multiple connectors including two HDMI, two SCART, a D-Sub, Composite, Component, S-Video, an audio-in, a S/PDIF out, an audio out and an earphone out. The T1 monitors should be launched soon. No price info yet.
